VISIT SRI PADA (ADAM'S PEAK)

We were decided to worship Sri Padaya on 28 th of May 2018.Becouse Sripada seson beings in Uduwap poya day and ends by Wesak poya day.So, first of all, we packed our bags with sweaters, some food, and clothes. My mother prepared our breakfast and packed it. So we left home at 6.30 am.

We reached Sir Pada road at 9.30 am. After that, we went ahead. After having breakfast against we started to go ahead. A lot of people go to worship Sri pada. Some people go on pilgrimage singing the poems of the Thun Sarana. e also joined them. Even strangers who have not met before will talk when they meet while worshiping Sri Pada.After having lunch we climbed Samanala Kanda,we passed many special places like  '' Seetha gangula'', "Indikatu paana" , "Haramiti paana" ,"Maha giri dhambaya". As well on the way to the top of Sri Pada mountain, we saw a beautiful environment💚. It has very beautiful plants and flowers. Sri Pada's environment is an area rich in biodiversity. There are four rivers that start from Sri Pada. They are Mahavali,Kelani, Kalu and Walawe.We saw "Kalu Ganga" on the way. 

Sri Pada is one of the most sacred places of worship for Buddhists. Buddhists believe that Lord Buddha left a footprint on top of Samanala Kanda. So this mountain is situated about 6000 feet above sea level.

We rested for a few hours. After the break, we started the journey again. So when we reached at 4.00 am top of the mountain. We would feel a server cold. In the olden days climbing to this place was much risky. But today every facility has been made to make the journey easy. So when we reached the top of Sri Pada was full of people.
     After the Sripada Pilgrimage, we saw the sunrise there. It was a very wonderful experience for us. After we left to come home.👣
